Jesse, an American writer, and Celine, a French woman, meet on a train traveling from Budapest to Vienna. Though they are attracted to each other, their encounter remains confined to that moment. Nine years later, Jesse returns to France for the promotion of his new book and meets Celine in Paris, just moments before his flight takes off.
